Parking Permits for the Fall 2010 Semester will be available from the Ohlone College Bookstore. The price is $35.00 (plus $1.00 postage if you order on-line). You can either buy them at the Bookstore on Campus, or you can order them on-line:

2) Almost Time to Register for the Fall 2010 Semester!

[Below is an Example of the Course Registration Process. We will notify all Members when is it time to Register for the Course. In the mean time - if you are not currently an Ohlone College Student you need to apply for Admission on line. It's Free! Once you are accepted you will receive a Student ID Number, which will allow you to Register for Courses.]

Create a Web Advisor Log-In & Password

Go to WebAdvisor

Then:
1) Log In
2) Click on "Students"

Then:
1) Update My Profile
2) Express Registration
3) Enter the Synonym "045337"
4) Click on "Submit"
5) Print you Class Schedule

Then:
1) Main Menu
2) Students
3) Pay on My Account

Note: You must pay within 5 days of Registering!

3) Rehearsal Schedule

Weekly Rehearsals: 

Resuming April 7, 2010 (Wednesday Evenings from 7:30PM to 9:30PM) - Full Band Rehearsal in the Ohlone College Band Room (Music Building Room #2125) (Please contact Tony Clements if you will be absent from a Rehearsal. Please discuss with Tony the possibility of having a Sub cover your part. Whether or not a Sub is available - please make arrangements to have your music get to the rehearsal so that another member can cover your part.)

Mandatory Dress Rehearsals: 

May 5, 2010 (Wednesday Evening from 7:30PM to 9:30PM) on Stage in the Smith Center at Ohlone College. This is a Mandatory Dress Rehearsal. You must be there if you plan to perform on the Concert

4) Performance Schedule

May 12, 2010 (Wednesday Evening from 7:30PM - 9:30PM) - May Concert - "From the Stage & Screen"
Our Annual "Pops" Concert - Featuring Marches, Broadway, Film and Traditional Band Music

5) Section Openings!

With the expansion of the Band to Full Symphonic Band Instrumentation, and with several of our College Student members "Graduating" to 4-Year Colleges out of the area, we are seeking:

2 Flutes
4 Bb Clarinets
1 Eb Alto Clarinet
1 Bb ContraBass Clarinet
2 Bassoons
1 French Horn
2 Concert Percussionists (Timpani & Mallet Keyboards)

As always we Invite Any and All Interested Musicians to Join Our Band. Bring your Instrument or Stick Bag and Come Sit In on Any Rehearsal. (Membership contingent upon approval of the Director)

Ohlone Community Band Guidelines

The Advisory Board for the Ohlone Community Band (under the supervision of our Band Director Tony Clements) has created the new "Ohlone Community Band Guidelines", which will take effect in the Fall Semester of 2009.

We are asking all Band Members to review these Guidelines. Then, we ask that any comments, questions, suggestions, etc be addressed to Advisory Board Chairperson Dan Smith at the email address at the bottom of this page. The Advisory Board will then make any modifications needed and post the updated "Guidelines" to this Site.

Ohlone Community Band Web Photo Release Form

From time to time we will be posting photos of the OCB in action on this Web Site and the Ohlone College Music Department Web Site. We need your permission to use your photo on each of these Sites. So - we are passing around a Photo Release Form during our OCB Rehearsals. If it is OK to use your photo - simply complete and sign the form. It will be kept in the confidential files in the Music Department Office.

If you prefer not to have your photo displayed on either Web Site - please contact Dan Smith, OCB Advisory Board Chairperson. He will ensure that your image does not appear on either Site.
